Mississippi River & St Louis Arch

Day 2 on the road. We made it to Saint Louis and I was able to see the Arch – it’s a lot bigger and taller than I thought it would be. I’ve only seen pictures but breathtaking to see it in person.  We couldn’t get right down to it due to being in the rig.  Low bridges and talk camper don’t play well together so we couldn’t go down some of the streets and had to turn around on some to avoid the low 12’8” only clearance – we have to have at least 14’ clearance.  Got a really good place that we could pull over though and see it well enough to take some pictures.  Some day maybe we’ll come back and ride up to the top. Since we’re still kind of on “lock down” and are staying far away from people, today was not that day – but maybe someday.

Saw beautiful countryside as we traveled from Marshall, IL to our current location in Boonville, MO and again overnighting at the local WalMart. Got to go across the Mississippi River – I crossed it in the past on another trip, but definitely adding to today’s memories.

Rained a bit today but not bad.  And with tomorrow being the weekend, I don’t have to work before we leave tomorrow, so may be able to get on the road a bit earlier than normal. Hoping to make Kansas City, KS tomorrow then on to Denver, CO on Sunday.

Remember life is short so make memories while you can. And until tomorrow, keep Rolling!
