Day 7 on the road.
From Walmart in Riverton, WY to the Grand Tetons National Park – only about a 3 hour drive so a little easier day today. And man was it AWESOME!!!
We actually saw a moose standing on the side of the road eating and was able to stop and take several pictures of her.
About 5 miles down the road we also saw a Grizzly also eating the tender grass that was growing along the side of a small rise from the road. Lots of pictures of that one. And he and we stayed for a good 10 minutes before he started to do down the hill. And though I couldn’t get a picture of it, he found something that he was digging at to eat and ended up just laying down to eat and enjoy whatever it was he found.
We unfortunately also started having problems with the brakes on the truck overheating and loosing a hubcap somewhere in the drive. And the trailer breaks were starting to act weird by the time we started to pull into camp. The constant up and down the hills are never easy on brakes. We will take a look at all that tomorrow but hope to still be able to drive around Yellowstone while we’re here.
The constant on the move of the trip is starting to catch up to both me and Dave. We keep going but not easy some days. We are both thankful for being here for 3 nights and getting some much needed rest before moving on.
