Day 9 on the road.
Today was an easy day just around camp. Working on getting Canadian Border Patrol/Custom’s information on Dave’s meds and waiting on call backs regarding that.
And now the wildfires in Canada have spread up into the Northwest Territory of Canada even more in the direct path that we need to take to Alaska.
Unfortunately, that may be a moot point at this stage as we are having problems getting the truck in to be serviced. Due to the holiday, places are booking 2 to 4 weeks out for service – time that we just don’t have.
At 2-4 weeks out, that does not give us time to get to Denali in time for our reservations. We’re working on options that we can do depending on the truck situation and what we need to do that is best for us both. Stress is not good for MG and both of us are feeling a tremendous amount of stress at this point
The sites we have seen so far have been so breathtaking and amazing, I look forward to seeing more – but for now we will stay here for a couple of more days – give us a chance to unwind a bit and see some more of the immediate area and hopefully find solutions to get both our situations solved..
